The Minnesota Wild signed 2 free agents on the first day of NHL free agency.  The two players signed are  28-year old right wing Martin Havlat and 29-year old defenseman Greg Zanon.  Havlat signed a 6-year $30 million deal.  He scored 29 goals and had 48 assists and had a total of 77 points with Chicago last season.  He's played 8 seasons in the NHL.  Zanon signed a 3-year $5.8 million deal.  He played with Nashville last season and had 4 goals and 7 assists in 82 games last season.  The Star Tribune is reporting that the Wild are in talks with Montreal free agent Saku Koivu.  Saku is the 34-year old older brother of Wild top player Mikko Koivu.
