The St. Cloud Tech boys basketball team earned the right to play Minnetonka today in the class 4A State tournament semifinals at noon, pregame on WJON at 11:55. Join Jay Caldwell and Tech Activities Director Andrea Swanberg for the call. Tech defeated Cambridge-Isanti 79-68 Wednesday afternoon at Target Center in the Class 4A state quarterfinals. Tech led by 7 at halftime and quickly went out to a double-digit lead in the 2nd half. Tech outrebounded Cambridge 40-21 and the Tigers were led in scoring by Nate Wolters with 21 points and Collin Stinogel added 16 points. Tech improves to 28-2 and has won 19 straight games. Minnetonka is the #1 seed in Class 4A and defeated Bloomington Kennedy 66-59 Wednesday afternoon in the first game at Target Center. Henry Sibley and Robbinsdale Cooper also won quarterfinal games to appear in the 2nd semifinal at 2pm today.
