The Twins activated 2nd baseman Alexi Casilla from the 15-day disabled list after Minnesota's 3-1 win over Oakland Wednesday. Casilla had been out since July 28. He had played 2 minor league rehab games at single-A Beliot. To make room for Casilla on the active roster the Twins outrighted Brian Bass to triple-A Rochester. Casilla is expected to reclaim his starting 2nd base job and will bat second. Nick Punto had been starting at 2nd base and will now play shortstop with Adam Everett and Brendan Harris seeing time at shortstop too.
