The Twins placed 2nd baseman Alexi Casilla on the 15-day disabled list with a torn tendon in his right thumb.  Casilla will miss at least the next couple of weeks.  He sustained the injury Monday night.  The Twins activated shortstop Adam Everett from the 15-day disabled list to replace Casilla on the active roster.  Minnesota earlier in the day designated Everett for assignment but quickly activated him when they realized Casilla had to be placed on the DL.  Everett will backup Brendan Harris at shorstop with Nick Punto becoming the everyday 2nd baseman.
