The Twins placed rightfielder Michael Cuddyer on the 15-day disabled list with a strained ligament in his left index finger Sunday.  Cuddyer sustained the injury Friday and played through it.  He didn't play Saturday night and was held out Sunday.  Cuddyer hits the disabled list for the 2nd time this season and for the 2nd time outfielder Denard Span has been recalled from triple-A Rochester to take his spot on the active roster.  Span was batting .340 with 16 stolen bases for the Red Wings.  Span will join the team in time for tonight's game and is expected to see significant time in rightfield with Cuddyer out.
